Course Description

AS/A Level Chemistry Chemistry tries to explain the properties of substances in terms of atoms, molecules and ions. You will need to learn and understand a lot of theory but this will be supported by practical work whenever possible. Qualifications As a minimum, you will require B grades in both GCSE Science and Additional Science (or in two separate sciences, including Chemistry). You should also have at least a grade B in GCSE Maths and a grade C in English. Modules AS Modules Atoms, Bonds and Groups (AS) Chains, Energy and Resources (AS) Practical Skills (AS) A2 Modules Rings, Polymers and Analysis (A2) Equilibria, Energetics and Elements (A2) Practical Skills (A2) After the Course AS or A level Chemistry is essential or desirable for a wide range of higher education Science courses and is highly regarded as a basis for any nonscientific course or career.
