The MSc in Animal Science has been designed to meet the increasing demand for suitably qualified personal to work in animal research, development, lecturing, training, public and private commercial enterprise, advisory work, government agencies, non-government organizations, etc. throughout the world. We have over 30 years experience in delivering MSc courses. IBERS is an internationally recognised centre of excellence and students' choice for the study of biological, environmental and rural sciences. IBERS is a new venture that has brought together staff from the Institutes of Rural Sciences and Biological Sciences at Aberystwyth University, and the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research (IGER). Around 300 research, teaching and support staff conduct basic, strategic and applied research in biology from the level of genes and other molecules to the impact of climate change and bio-energy on sustainable agriculture and land use. Teaching ? We scored 2324 in the last Teaching Quality Assessment (TQA) in the Biological Sciences reflecting our commitment to high quality teaching. Research In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise in 2008 we were joint 6th out of 30 in the UK. ? 95% of IBERS research submitted was rated as being recognised internationally ? 45% of IBERS was considered world leading or internationally excellent.
