Introduction This Theory and Practical course is designed for Maintenance engineers that need to have a good knowledge of A/C and Ventilation Plant, and how to maintain it. Aims To familiarize engineers with A/C and Ventilation plant and give them the knowledge to enable them to carry out basic plant maintenance and fault finding. The Course Covers Health & Safety Principles of Air Conditioning and Ventilation The Relationship between A/C and Ventilation Typical Ventilation System Components and their Functions Routine Maintenance of Ventilation Systems Fault Identification and Rectification Principles of Refrigeration How Refrigeration Works as part of an A/C System Identifying and Understanding the Function of The Main Components of a Refrigeration System System Safety Devices Gauge Fitting and Removal Routine Checks - Leak Detecting - System Efficiency Refrigerant Gases - Safety and Properties of Fault Finding and Rectification Recovery and Charging Equipment Handling Refrigerants - Recovery and Charging Routines Component Removal - Pipework Soldering - System Cleanliness - Compressor Burnout Pressure Testing the System Re-commissioning the System Course Duration Five days Certification Participants will be assessed during the course and a certificate will be issued.
