Course Description

The programme is a Masters degree in Advanced Education Practice which is designed for applicants who have already completed a PGCert in Advanced Educational Practice with LJMU (or equivalent). It consists of two core modules*: Participants who successfully complete this programme will have carried out a piece of in-depth research relevant to their educational work context. They will have developed skills to work largely independently with regular support from a supervisor. The programme has strong links with schools, colleges, LEAs and other universities. It differs from many other MA programmes in its deliberate approach which brings together a wide range of education professionals. Students confirm that this approach helps them gain new insights into their own practice by working with colleagues from across all sectors. Students can specialise within their own area of expertise, or can diversify their research study into other areas of educational interest. The programme can be negotiated to meet the needs of groups or teams working on schoolLEA or college improvement projects. About the School Welcome to the Faculty of Education Community and Leisure which has provided Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for educational professionals in Merseyside and across the North West region for over 25 years.
