These days include practical assessment and 2 multiple choice written papers Candidates will be advised on times of attendance when booking is confirmed. What will I study? Please refer to the ACS scheme information enclosed, which outlines all criteria for ACS core gas CCN1. A brief summary: Domestic installation - Tightness testing Installation of pipework and fittings Checking and setting domestic meter regulators Checking and setting burner pressures and gas rates Re-establish existing gas supply and relight appliances Characteristics of combustion Identification of unsafe situations / use of emergency notices and warning labels Ventilation The operation and checking of appliance gas safety devices and controls Flue testing the installation of open, balanced and fan Assisted flues. What can I do next? On successful completion of these assessments candidates will be eligible for further ACS categories. What are the entry requirements? Candidates must hold ACS certificate CCN1 (must not have expired over 12 months) Course fee: tbc Exam fee: N/A Free secure parking and refreshments during course. If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply. Please note: For courses of more than one year, the fees stated apply to the first year of the 2009/2010 academic year only.
