This diploma is designed to explore Psychometrics. You will explore growing belief in relation to personality profiling, ability, aptitude testing to see the suitability of the job role. This Diploma in Psychometrics is designed for managers with responsibility for staff selection and development, but not necessarily with a Human Resources background, who would like to increase their understanding of personality testing.

This course consists of Five Units and is a qualification awarded by Oxford Learning College, in its own right; with the quality assurance of a leading awarding body (CIE Global) that hallmarks this professional qualification.
Assessment Objectives (AO)
Students must select and demonstrate clearly relevant knowledge and understanding through the use of evidence, examples and correct language and terminology appropriate to the course of study. This assessment, involves two written assignments: one halfway through the course and following the final unit. Both are assessed and graded by the assigned tutor, according to college procedures.
Students must critically evaluate and justify a point of view through the use of evidence and reasoned argument. Students can include evidence in different formats to support their written work such as documentation or images to support their course.
Quality of Written Communication (QWC)
In addition, OLC require students’ to produce written material in English, candidates must: ensure that text is legible and that spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPG) are accurate so that meaning is clear; select and use a form and style of writing appropriate to studying a complex subject matter; organise information clearly and coherently, using specialist vocabulary when appropriate and Harvard referencing of citation and sources. In this Specification, SPG will be assessed in all tutor marked assignments (TMAs)

In this unit you will learn how Psychometrics and personality is defined, and discussed through various attitudes to personality profiling. It briefly introduces ability and aptitude testing in relation to intelligence tests. Emotional Intelligence is also mentioned in the overall context.
Accredited Level 3 Psychometrics Diploma Unit 2: The Theoretical Background to Psychometric Testing – An Introduction to Personality Testing for Managers
Within this unit you will explore the different definition of personality and common theories such as, physical, psycho-analytical and social learning theory are explained. The aim will be to explain these, and highlight their relevance, in an interesting and accessible way to assess and measure temperament, how people think, behave and act.
Accredited Level 3 Psychometrics Diploma Unit 3: The Interpretation and Use of Trait-Based Tests with Focus on 15FQ+
Through this unit you will review how different people will believe and consider varying qualities for what makes a good manager, colleague or leader. You will gain an understanding in 16 PF, 15FQ+ and OPP tests.
Accredited Level 3 Psychometrics Diploma Unit 4: The Interpretation and Use of Type Indicator Tests with Focus on the Jung Type Indicator (JTI) and Myers-Briggs MBTI
Knowing how people think and behave can also help people understand their own personality traits. The various types of indicator tests and the theories behind these are explored. Brief explanations of test questionnaire design, scoring and interpretation are provided.
Accredited Level 3 Psychometrics Diploma Unit 5: A Review of the Use of Additional “Tools” for Personality Profiling
In this final unit you will review the main body of the final module presents a review of a selection of widely-known tools in current use, categorised as measures of values, preferences, interests and styles. You will explore tests and key features of testing and the delivery of accurate outcome and measuring.
