Access to Nursing (*): Students study the 'core' modules of : Human Anatomy and Physiology Health Psychology Healthcare Research Introduction to Nursing Nursing Skills and Practice Equality, Diversity and Rights in Health Care Nutrition Healthcare Projects *) Please note course content above are not indicative other topics includes Maths, English and supportive skills for health care etc. Assessment : Assessment on the course is ongoing through assignments. Much of the assignments are written and some are practical. ProgressionNext Step : Students can use either their AASBTEC National or Access certificate to apply for a range of higher education courses including, Nursing and Healthcare related Degrees etc. The College attracts guest Healthcare Professionals, whose seminars give our students a valuable insight into the workings of the Healthcare profession. In addition, visits to major Hospital Trusts, GP surgeries etc are actively undertaken on a field study basis. STOP PRESS...STOP PRESS: It is expected that all students enrolled on selected courses - will undertake a period of work placements within a Health and Social Care Setting. Central Birmingham College feels that these additional measures to the course, not only encourages student awareness and help to build and develop the confidence of the student, but also brings further insights, into the workings of the health care services.
