Discoveries from Physics have led to inventions that revolutionised the world, from light bulbs to the internet, and will certainly continue to do so. Physicists study the universe from the largest galaxies to the smallest subatomic particles combining imagination with systematic reasoning to understand the laws of nature and the structure of matter - the keys to many of the universe's secrets. Physics is also a firm grounding for further study in Engineering, Electronics, Computing, Mathematics and other core Sciences. Physics is unrivalled at providing analytical skills, which are highly transferable to a wide range of other subjects. What Will I Study? As Year Module 1: Physics in Action o Communication o Designer materials Module 2: Understanding Processes and Experimentation and Data Handling o Waves and quantum behaviour o Space, time and motion Module 3: Coursework o Quality of measurement o Physics in use A2 Year Module 4: Rise and Fall of the Clockwork Universe o Models and rules o Matters in extremes Module 5: Field and Particle Pictures o Fields o Fundamental particles Module 6: Coursework o Practical investigation o Research briefing How Will I Be Assessed ?
