Welcome to the Royal School for Deaf Children Margate, established in 1792 to provide education and residential provision for deaf children. We are a non-maintained day and residential special school for children who are deaf or who have a hearing impairment or associated communication difficulties. Most of our pupils have additional educational, emotional/behavioural or medical problems. Communication is also supported by our Speech and Language Therapy department.
