Overview

Our focus in recent times has turned to the global dimension of our community, spurred in part by the opening of our partner school in the UAE, Repton Dubai. 2010 has seen the first pupil exchange between the schools and it is hoped that this will give pupils from both schools the opportunity to experience new ways of learning and new ways of living. We have also been fortunate to have the help of highly noteworthy figures in promoting this global dimension of our community. In Summer term 2009, Sir Crispin Tickell, eminent diplomat and environmentalist gave the keynote address at our inaugural Global Perspectives conference for members of the Sixth Form. The fusion of the local and international dimension is most aptly demonstrated by our largest charity event, the Sale of Work. A tradition of some 150 years standing, this event involves pupils, staff, parents and residents of Repton putting on a great fete in the first week of November. The event is very well attended and raises in excess of £30,000 each year for a range of local, national and international charities. We don't rest there, of course, looking always as we are for new opportunities to increase the role we play in our community.
