As part of our ongoing strategy to strengthen and diversify our portfolio, we are delighted to announce the launch of Northumbria University School of Design London. Based in the heart of central London, the new school offers a highly professional, intimate and dynamic environment in which individual talents are encouraged to freely develop and flourish to their full potential. New Courses The School of Design London is developing a range of new and exciting BA and MA courses for the creative industries that will challenge design stereotypes and force new areas of subject cross-pollination. Targeting industries which include publishing, media and marketing, the new courses will link areas relating to innovation and diversity in specialist areas of design. London Postgraduate Hub The development of our London Postgraduate Hub will focus on providing an inspirational research centre and working base for developing engaging commercial projects and collaborations. Flexible delivery and study options will allow experienced working people to undertake Continuing Professional Development with minimum disruption to working lives. In the centre of the city, the School of Design London is located amongst all the activity the bustling and vibrant fashion capital has to offer: - Kings Cross mainline train station is 15 minutes away with direct trains to Newcastle (Paris: 2 hours, 10 mins on Eurostar); - City Airport (30 minutes by tube); - The famous historical antiques market of Portobello Road; - Spitalfields Market (historically a silk weaving centre but now home to market stalls showcasing independent fashion design and homeware); - Marylebone High Street (chic, contemporary home, fashion and beauty stores with close proximity to Oxford Street, London?s retail capital); - East London (Old Street, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Brick Lane) offers access to a plethora of art galleries and live music venues.
