Kingsfold Christian School is a small independent Christian school (private school) in Lancashire. Kingsfold started life almost 25 years ago. This small, friendly school is set in a 2 acre plot in the quiet market gardening area of Hesketh Bank, near Tarleton and south-west of Preston, in the North-West part of England. We teach children from the age of 4 to 16 (GCSE level). Most Kingsfold Christian School students progress to one of the local colleges – Runshaw,Cardinal Newman, KGV, with a few going further afield. Many students continue to university, including Oxford, Reading, Manchester, Liverpool, Edge Hill and many more. But it's not only academically-oriented children who thrive at Kingsfold Christian School. We have produced our fair share of successful joiners, musicians, plumbers, child care workers, electricians, mechanics, farmers, etc. We don't try to pigeon-hole children, we just bring out their talents and make the best of their existing skills. What's Different About Kingsfold Christian School Children? One of the things that people comment on when visiting the school is that the children will look them in the eye, smile and speak to them. That's because of the small, family-feel the school has. With class sizes generally limited to 10 per year, there is plenty of interaction between adults and children and the children learn to speak up without fear. People tend to think that a Christian school will be old-fashioned and depressing – but a visit to us makes them realise that we're far from it! Kingsfold is a vibrant, modern Christian school with dedicated staff, good facilities and happy children & teenagers. Can I Visit Kingsfold Christian School? Prospective students and parents are very welcome to arrange to come for a visit to see the school in action, meet staff and students and get a feel for the place. We don't claim to be the right school for everyone, but we are for a lot of children – those who thrive in a small school environment; those who appreciate one-to-one teacher attention; those who have suffered from anxiety or depression in larger, more impersonal schools; those who appreciate being treated as individuals, not numbers! The atmosphere in a Christian school like ours is very different to that found in large comprehensives. Do you have to be a Christian to go to Christian school? No. Not all of our students – or their parents – are professing Christians, although many are. The school is built on Biblical values, which is why we are so successful, and which is why our students are happy and capable. We have some great debates with the students who don't share our faith and we encourage that. Kingsfold Christian School is a safe place for your child, a happy place and a successful place.
